Nea is Currently Accepting Applications for:
Next school year (2021-22)
This school year (2020-21)
- All applications for the 21-22 school year that are submitted between October 15, 2020 and January 31, 2021 will be entered in our 21-22 enrollment lottery, to be held in early February.
- Applications submitted after January 31, 2021 will be placed on grade-level wait lists in order of admissions priority and date/time of application.

Have paperwork to turn in? Please scan or photograph your 20-21 Enrollment Paperwork. Make sure the images are full-sized and legible. Then, attach your scanned images to an email with a subject line like this:
"Enrollment Paperwork, Learner's Name, Learner's 20-21 Grade Level"

Our annual application timeline:
Mid-October: Nea begins accepting applications for the next school year. Families are welcome to apply regardless of residential address. However, our charter requires us to give priority to residents of the City of Alameda.
January 31st: All applications submitted by January 31st are eligible for the lottery held on the first Tuesday in February. Alameda residents receive an in-district priority in the lottery. Offers of admission and wait list positions based on lottery results are emailed out and available to families in early February. To check your child's lottery status, please log in to SchoolMint.
February-August: Nea continues to accept applications for the coming school year. If your learner is not offered a spot immediately after the lottery, or if you apply after January 31st, then your learner's name will be placed on a grade-level wait list, according to lottery placement or in order of priority and date of application. As families accept or decline offers, we proceed down the wait lists until all available spaces are full. Check your child's wait list position by logging in to SchoolMint.
