Morning and After Care at Nea
Nea works with a variety of organizations who provide affordable aftercare and enrichment programs on the Nea campus. Unless otherwise noted, these programs follow the Nea Calendar. Care is provided on learner school days only. Care is not provided on weekends, holidays, non-learner facilitator work days, school vacation breaks, or during school closures. Morning Care at Nea
- Description: Before care is for Nea learners in grades TK-8, drop off at Brush Street entrance by the Tree each morning
- Schedule: 7:30 to 8:05am, Monday through Friday
- Location for Grades TK-8: Nea Tree (Multipurpose Room)
- Cost: Free
- How to enroll: No need to sign up.
After Care at Nea
for Transitional Kindergarteners and Kindergarteners
- Description: On-site aftercare specifically for TK and Kindergarten learners provided by Nea staff
- Hours: From the end of the school day until 5:15pm, Monday through Friday
- Location: In the TK classrooms at Nea
- Cost: $250 per month for 5 days per week or less

AFTERCARE For Grades K-5
- Description: Alameda Arts provides an arts enrichment, free and structured playtime, healthy snacks and access to academic support for Nea learners in grades 1-5.
- Hours: From the end of the school day until 6pm, Monday through Friday
- Location: In the Kinder play area at Nea
- Monthly Cost:
- $290 PM for 3 days/week, $370 PM for 4 days/week, $450 PM for 5 days/week
- Learners who qualify for ELOP have scholarships available

- Description: The Alameda Boys and Girls Club provides after school care for children aged 6 and over. Core program areas include Arts, Gardening, Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Teen Leadership, Sports & Fitness, and STEM & Technology.
- Hours: From the end of the school day to 6pm, Monday through Friday
- Location: Right behind the Nea campus. Elementary school learners are walked over at the end of the school day.
- Cost: Free for Nea Learners

Enrichment Classes for Grades K-5
Two organizations offer once-a-week afterschool enrichment classes on our campus:
1. The Alameda Education Foundation offers a variety of classes for Nea K-5 learners. For more information, visit the Alameda Education Foundation After School page.
2. The Tomorrow Youth Repertory is a drama organization that offers a weekly theater production class in the fall and spring, ending with a performance. For current offerings, click here.
AFTERCARE for Grades 6-12
- Description: The Alameda Boys and Girls Club provides after school care for children aged 6 and over. Core program areas include Arts, Gardening, Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Teen Leadership, Sports & Fitness, and STEM & Technology.
- Hours: The Club is open from the end of the school day to 6pm, Monday through Friday
- Location: The Alameda Boys and Girls Club is located right behind the Nea campus.
- Cost: Free for Nea learners
- How to enroll: To enroll your child as a member of the Alameda Boys & Girls Club, please visit the Club's physical location behind the Nea campus. There is no online registration at this time.
- Description: CLUB Underground provides a safe place for tweens and teens (grades 6-12) to socialize and participate in active, fun and enriching activities with adult supervision.
- Hours: The Underground is open from 3 to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday
- Location: The UTC is not located on the Nea campus. However, they do offer transportation in ARPD vehicles from Nea to the Teen Center for a small fee through CLUB Underground Transportation.
- Cost: No charge to visit the Underground, but some activities may require a small fee.
